An update on Co-forest:Acorn
It’s been eight months since we concluded planting Co-forest:Acorn in Almondsbury.
The hot dry summer we experienced this year has been rough on many tree planting projects. Feeling apprehensive ahead of visiting the site to see how well our trees survived, we’re really pleased to say that thanks to the fields we planted on being particularly damp, we have had a far higher survival rate than predicted. Many of the trees have grown out of their tubes in this first year which is also amazing.
Over this winter season we will be carrying out beat-up planting work, hedgerows laying and path clearing and ensuring our fencing is intact. We’re always keen to welcome new and returning volunteers to the site so please get in touch if you’re interested in getting involved!
If you’d like to get involved in the Co-forest vision, donate as a business, or simply discuss the project further, we’d love to hear from you.
