We are thrilled to announce that Co-forest has been shortlisted in the Bath Life Awards 2021 for the Environmental category.

The Environmental category was open to any Bath company or organisation which has achieved something significant environmentally. With Pure Planet winning the award in 2020, the standard is high, so we’re really excited to be in the shortlist.

Our award entry highlighted the unique model we use here at Co-forest to bring businesses and individuals together for the sake of the global environment, and our local biodiversity. We highlighted how many of the regions most progressive organisations have joined the Co-forest movement, and that we have secured the land that will allow us to plant 10,000 trees this year.

The Co-forest model of bringing together organisations to plant local forestry at scale is a world first, but as you know, we’re not stopping there. Over the coming years, we aim to create a blueprint for others to follow in our footsteps and get first the UK, and then the global co-foresting groups off the ground.

In the last 12 months we have already generated a communal interest in tackling some key issues in the region. Co-forest will help our local carbon footprint, air quality, population’s mental wellbeing and will facilitate habitat for more wildlife. Each plot of land pledged and each tree planted will contribute to multitudes of positivity. 

Through Co-forest we are aiming to make a real, tangible and local impact on some of the globe’s biggest challenges. We’re enormously grateful to all of our Co-foresters to date and are very much looking forward to the Bath Life Awards Ceremony in September!
